Good Morning, I have a 10MM MP5 and am looking for reloading data for the 10MM in a carbine form factor. Currently I am reloading AA #7 and Hornday XTP at 200 grains, for approx 1050fps. The reloading data is based on a five inch barrel, pistol. Anyone have any information on carbine reloading?

Much appreciated.

i shoot 10mm in my Uzi using power pistol data and it works just fine. I also taper crimp and dont try to compact the powder when loading. In my expierence Power Pistol is my powder of choice behind the accurate series.

I don't have any data on the 200 gr yet but just got a couple of boxes of them and some Winchester 175 gr STHP and will post them after I chrono them.
I use Titegroup on all my pistol/subgun loads
In my 10mm Mp-5 clone .
I just chroned some 170 gr nosler hollow points I used 6.0 grains with a Wolf large pistol magnum primer with an OAL of 1.250,1.252,1.255 & 1.260" just to see different velocities @ crimp length they are respectivley -1214 fps w 556 ft/lbs- 1228fps w/569ft/lbs 1232fps w/573 ft/lbs and 1241fps 581ft/lbs

165 Gr Montana Gold flat pts. Titegroup powder weights at 5.5 gr, 5.8 gr, 6.0gr, & 6.4 gr with OAL of 1.250 velocities/energy respectivley
1130fps/467ft/lbs, 1190fps/518ft/lbs, 1212fps/538ft/lbs, 1274fps/594ft/lbs

155Gr PRVI Partisan JHP Titegroup powder weights at 6.5gr & 6.6gr OAL length of 1.250 velocitites/energy respectivley
1385fps/660ft/lbs 1401/676ft/lbs
I know this is a pretty fast powder and others prefer the slower burners but I have come to appreciate the low charge weights and clean burn. With the powder / primer availabilities being what they are latley I feel I'm getting the right bang for my buck.
I use the magnum primers because my gun likes to double with the standard primers for some reason, not good when you shoot with the State Troopers and Border Patrol bunch at the tactical shoots. Good luck be careful.

200 Grain MP-5 loads

Finally got around to these. With a 200 grain Hornaday FMJFP I used 5.0 & 5.2 grains of Titegroup with an OAL of 1.250 and Wolf large pistol magnum primers
the results are respectively-1054 fps w/493 ft/lbs at muzzle and 1125 fps w/562 ft/lbs at muzzle hope this helps. Tried some Berrys 200 grainers at around 1000fps and they were all over the place.

Mine is a Cohaire Arms ,
I only wish to have a HK, they are like hens teeth and most have been cut up.
Probably would need to take out a second mortgage to afford one. Then theres that pesky machine gun /short barrel rifle law in Michigan that would make that deal bad, welcome to the suck.....
I'm trying to figure out how to post some pictures of spent shell casings with flute marks, & photos of my subgun, but don't know how to do it yet.

Nice Gun! Always wanted an MP5 clone in 10mm. How difficult is it to find mags? Are there any currently manufactured?

I have purchased from Adam Webber at HKParts.net. It looks like he has them in stock for $75 each. Availability can be hit and miss...

You should contact Blackmarket parts,or Adam Webber they both sell them occasionally you'll find them on Gun Broker.com
The only guy that still makesMP5 10s or 40cal or could, is Cohaire and I think he's going to discontinue that line.If you talk nice to Todd he might build you one

Snakeatr,

I was getting split cases like that in my MP5/10. It turned out to be a sharp edge on the bolt head scratching the case while it was in the magazine. If the scratch ended up over a flute in the chanber is would cause the case to split there. Mine weren't splitting at the case neck, but between the head and the neck.

A little emery cloth to polish that edge down seems to have fixed it.

Thanks man I'll give that a try. The cracks only seem to appear on the nickel brass more brittle I'm told.

Great info here! I'm starting to reload today with 180 gr FMJ for use in my CA89-10. I don't have any way to chrono the results but hope to in the future. I'm going to start with Accurate #7, Power Pistol and Longshot with CCI 300 primers. I'll also test these in a Glock 20. Fortunately I've saved over 500 rounds of brass from the Double Tap rounds thru the G20 & 300+ from Georgia Arms - both Starline. I feel like a sponge trying to soak up as much as possible. I'm sticking with 180 receipes for FMJ since I don't know how to adjust for JHP's and or different weights. Thanks again for this much needed info for the 8.85" barrel.

Here are a couple of pics:
