Good Morning, I have a 10MM MP5 and am looking for reloading data for the 10MM in a carbine form factor. Currently I am reloading AA #7 and Hornday XTP at 200 grains, for approx 1050fps. The reloading data is based on a five inch barrel, pistol. Anyone have any information on carbine reloading?
Much appreciated.
I don't have any data on the 200 gr yet but just got a couple of boxes of them and some Winchester 175 gr STHP and will post them after I chrono them.
I use
Titegroup on all my pistol/subgun loads
In my 10mm Mp-5 clone .
I just chroned some 170 gr nosler hollow points I used 6.0 grains with a Wolf large pistol magnum primer with an OAL of 1.250,1.252,1.255 & 1.260" just to see different velocities @ crimp length they are respectivley -1214 fps w 556 ft/lbs- 1228fps w/569ft/lbs 1232fps w/573 ft/lbs and 1241fps 581ft/lbs
165 Gr Montana Gold flat pts. Titegroup powder weights at 5.5 gr, 5.8 gr, 6.0gr, & 6.4 gr with OAL of 1.250 velocities/energy respectivley
1130fps/467ft/lbs, 1190fps/518ft/lbs, 1212fps/538ft/lbs, 1274fps/594ft/lbs
155Gr PRVI Partisan JHP Titegroup powder weights at 6.5gr & 6.6gr OAL length of 1.250 velocitites/energy respectivley
1385fps/660ft/lbs 1401/676ft/lbs
I know this is a pretty fast powder and others prefer the slower burners but I have come to appreciate the low charge weights and clean burn. With the powder / primer availabilities being what they are latley I feel I'm getting the right bang for my buck.
I use the magnum primers because my gun likes to double with the standard primers for some reason, not good when you shoot with the State Troopers and Border Patrol bunch at the tactical shoots. Good luck be careful.
