Hey 2B,

I am looking at the Arms #18 mount for my SA M1A, and I have heard about lots of problems with getting mounts mounted solid and correctly on M1As that are not Mil-spec.

The SA obviously isnt. have you heard of any problems with mounting on the SA ones??

thanks,

-Tim

I have an ARMS #18 on my Springfield Armory M1A. I had no problems mounting it and it works fine.

glad to hear! I trust Arms products and am not interested in wading through all the good and bad mounts and what works on SAs.

This is what you need. I just received mine yesterday from A.R.M.S. (Thanks 2b)

#18 mount and medium rings to clear the rear sight.

This one of the things I liked about the A.R.M.S. mount. I can remove the scope and use the iron sights. The mount sits low enough that you don't even see it when using your iron sights.

Another question on the piece. A few people I have spoke with said that because the mount is so low it tends to cause some ejection problems.

Ever hear anything about that??
