16 barrel with rifle length handguards and front sight tower (dissipator) are light on recoil if it has the rifle length gas system the longer sight radius is also a plus, if you like the look go for it. Most I think have the car length gas system though.

I'm surprised it took this long for people to realize the $400 piston conversion works as well as the $12 gas tube it replaced.

Drop in non free float hanguards are approximately seven inches long for a carbine, nine inches for a midlength and twelve inches for a rifle. As mentioned above, the dissipator will allow for a non free float drop in of twelve inches. Depending on how much rail you need, that may be a good option.

so what im getting is that i want the dissipator is there any pictures of this and how will it affect the build time/ buy price for the weapon?
i know that i want the non free float guards on a 16 inch barrel or do i need a longer one? and is there any site that has the specs of the 5.56 barrel and what all is machined, like a schematic of the barrel.
