So are all of the batteries below the same with different packaging? I have only used the surefire brand batteries so far since that is what came with my lights and the local gun shop carries them by the dozen.
But, some companies have the others at a much lower price. So, are they all the same and what have you guys used and/or tested?

Th titainium is the newest technology and considered superior. The majority of battery companies are looking to introduce it soon if they haven't already.

Titanium is a brand from Amondotech; it is not a new chemistry. CR123's Titanium from Amondotech are okay batteries in most regular flashlights than don't demand high amperage.

But if you put them in a Surefire M-4 and M-6 you will be very disappointed.

Even Surefire CR 123's are marginal in these powerful lights, I haven't tested the battery Station CR 123's yet in my M-6 and M-4 so I can not comment.

For the most part you will get around the same performance from these batteries in low amperage small hand lights. There is not a lot of difference to speak of between them except for price. The Ti batteries are probably the ones that will go dead faster under use but we are talking about a minute or two of difference from the others.

Surefire's went up to a $1.75 per this year, BS are around $1.25 and Amondo is about $1. The choice is clear right? Wrong.

While Ti batteries look like the best deal Amondo's shipping is so high is actually a better deal to go with BS batteries and his shipping.

... But I will go one you one better. If you go to http://www.batterystation.com/cpf.htm and order from this special page you can get BS batteries for a buck per! Just sign up for an account name at the CPF and include it in the notes with your order at BS.

I have used both Surefire and BS batteries, truthfully I like the BS batteries better, I have gotten a few duds from Surefire, in the 4 dozen or so BS batteries I have ordered I have not had a single dud and they seem to last a hair longer than Surefire's too. I have no first hand experience with Ti batteries, I have just seen the run time graphs for them on flashlightreviews.com and they do well but a little less rutime than the others mentioned.

The BX has SureFire 123 Batteries for $1.66 in a 12 pack with plastic case.

From what I've found Surefire CR123's seem to be made by Panasonic but with a slightly different chemistry & that Battery Station CR123's are made to specficitations and results from testing over at candlepower forums & have evolved over the years.

Right now ya can get 50 - Panasonic CR123A 3 Volt Photo Lithium Battery 1550mah for $67.50 Poke Here

Ya can also get Titanium Innovations CR123A 3 Volt Photo Lithium Battery 1300 mAh for $1.00 each Poke Here

Battery Station's CR123A 1400mAh capacity are running $1.50 each Poke Here and I read somewhere if you are a member of CandlePowerForums ya get a discount.

Poke Here to read the tests ifin ya can decypher all the technical mumbo jumbo

And even more Food for thought
