Well had a pretty uneventfull weekend for myself. I decided to hang out with a friend that ships off for basic/ait soon for the weekend so i took him to my other friends house and we hung out and drooled over AR's for awhile. Sure enough my other buddies dad gets out the old Colt HBAR and before the end of the night that weapons changed hands for a reasonable 1150. Thankfully we decide to go through and clean some guns. I have had a Thompson for around a year and a half, only fired a couple of times, never really even thought about breaking it down (seemed out of the question for me). Well i decide it needs to be done and with some help for the internet i get er torn apart while black hawk down is playing. Thankfully i got to it before most of the rust did. There was some tarnishing but no deep pitting. IT REALLY UPSETS ME WHEN I DONT TAKE CARE OF MY STUFF!!!! I hate rust, its my worst enemy. Now that i know what i am doing, i plan on completely stripping the thompson every time i shoot it.

Otherwise went to some different stores on Sun. They had all kinds of DPMS's in stock all were overpriced 100-150 from what they should have been. DPMS stripped lowers were $200. I was upset when i saw this, called the guy out and he said that they had the priced raised on them (they go through middle man apparently). I thought that was funny considering DPMS hasnt upped prices recently. But the same buddy who forked out big the previous night saw the new 5.7 upper and of course he couldnt pass that up. So there went another 720 after an upper that is cool, but i dont know if i would want one. Same guy bought a colt 1911 two weeks ago.

I kept my ducks straight and resisted all temptations. Must save for group buy......... thumb.gif

Also went to two other stoors that had some DPMS's in stock and Bushmasters. All were on par for pre election. Didnt have a bushy over 1k, that was encouraging!
