Saw more Turkey than deer

I went deer hunting (crossbow) today. Sat in the half rain / half sleet for about 3 hours, then we decided to try to drive them a bit. On my first drive, I stirred up 3 or 4 deer, but by the time they passed my buddy, they were way too far away for a shot.

Then.. on my second drive, I stirred up a flock of turkey. I counted 8 of them. I chased them off the side of a corn field and into the woods. Then, as I zig-zagged my way through the woods, I spooked them again. This time, I was close enough I could have hit one with a stick.

How much you want to bet that come Spring Turkey Season, I see more deer than turkey? laugh.gif

My son and I were just syaing that very same thing!!!
That is the entire reason I started turkey hunting. And now it is the same,sit in a treestand with a bow and see Turkey, sit on the groung with a scattergun and see Deer. I love it anyway I can get it.

Where do you hunt at in Central Ohio and how far are you from the Tappan Lake area in Harrison County?
