I have just purchased some Prvi Match 75 gr. ammo. I seems to shoot accurately enough, but I am wondering about its use as a self-defense round. For example, would it come anywhere close to the XM193, M856, or other SHTF ammo? It is being used in a Colt 6920. Any comments will be appreciated.

HP is most likley going to be better than any type of FMJ round INHO.

75 grain should be a bit better than 55 grain. The bullet itself is not a true hollow point, it's what's called open tip match. The bullet won't expand like a handgun hollow point, but it will fragment and cause a lot of damage. SOCOM uses a 77 grain OTM (Open Tip Match) and has had success with it. The Marines are working on a 73gr round.

I also shoot this with my SPR and like its accuracy.
