three deer walked out right at dark. i shot the largest one first. after the shot i couldn't tell where she went so i sighted in on another one and squeezed the trigger. it dropped in its tracks. i went and got a flashlight and found and followed the blood trail of the first one for a measly 30 yards in tall grass and found the first one. BIG as a friggin COW! i went and got my truck and drove down to it and i tried about 5 times to get it in my truck and i just couldn't. she was too heavy. i went and drove around the other side of the creek and picked up the little one. i had to go home and get a knife and gut the big one just so i could drag her into my truck bed. unsure.gif

anyhow, got 'em both field dressed and it's supposed to get down to 29 degress tonight so i just hung 'em up and i'll skin and quarter them in the morning. thumb.gif

both were only about 100 yards, give or take. i could have shot a 3rd one, but two a day is all we can legally take.

anyhow, the big one is almost 7ft long from snout to rear hoof. ohmy.gif it is a BIG doe!

have i mentioned lately how much i love my .308? wub1.gif

only 1 a year? dang! i'd have to sit down and figure it out, but if you wanted to buy the bonus tags you could kill 150+ deer here each season! ohmy.gif

2 per day from the first saturday in october till the first saturday in january, combining bow, ML and rifle, excluding sundays.
