I know this has been beat to death but am I the ONLY one that actually has GREAT luck with a Taurus?
First off I am in NO way brand loyal. As for as semi autos I have a XD .45(which is AWESOME btw), a Glock19, had a Glock 21, Beretta .380, Kel-tec .380 and the two Taurus PT140 Mil pros that we carry(wife and I) so I like what works and feels good in my hand. We shoot 100 or so rounds a week through them(at random). Now I dont want to get a brand war going on because I've read all the threads, but I have had ZERO issues with either Taurus and they have had some brass run through them and seem to eat anything! My XD has been flawless so far and is my favorite by far, my Glock(s) have been ok too. I do have the occasional hangup with G19 but could be due to cheap ammo. The G21 served me well but seemed lacking in feel/control to the XD (not downing the Glock, just MY personal choice). I sold it to a friend when i purchased the XD and he loves it. I personally have full confidence in my Taurus enough so that my wife carries one. It was the only one that felt comfortable in her hand(small handle) and still have a decent caliber(.40). I keep ALL of my firearms cleaned and in perfect working order, if one round is fired it is broken down and cleaned(not necessary I know but makes me feel better!). Dont want get in any arguments here just wondering if anyone else likes their Taurus as much as I do. smile.gif

I don't have nothing against Taurus, and the only reason I don't own one...is because, they didn't have the Judge in stock when I was in town. I wanted one just to have one. The people that own Taurus that I know of, have had very little to no problems with theirs.

The ONLY taurus I've had good luck with was a .22 pump action rifle.

The other few I've tried have been crap.

I'm glad you had better luck than I.

Thanks for the replies! I realize that the web is full of negative feedback on them(mainly the early PT series). Just trying to get a feel if anyone actually likes them thats all. I know I can run 100 rounds of junk "range" ammo through either PT and never have an issue, same ammo/same 100 rounds in my G19 and guarantee two or three hangups. Now I DO NOT run crap ammo while carrying ,before I start getting blasted! Nor am I in ANY way downgrading the Glock, I know they are obviously highly popular and great firearms. Just speaking from my personal experience. I've checked all the afore mentioned problems and structuraly mine still looks great. Keep the comments coming, I can take it!

What ammo are you using that your Glock malfunctions?

My PT99 and M44 Tauri have run just fine now for well over a decade. I also own Smith and Wesson, Ruger, Les Baer, Marlin, Winchester and Armalite. Several Sig Elites are on the way as well. If my Tauri failed to perform they would be gone. Have a nice day.

I have a PT100 .40 S7W in stainless steel that I would trust my life with. It has never let me down, and I make sure they are always in tip top shape.
