I ordered some silver solder paste to permanently attach a muzzle brake. Anyone here do it? What do I need to know and consider?

Thanks!

The ones I have removed were attached like this.
1. Hole drilled down through the brake to the threads on the barrel causing a flat spot on the barrel.
2. Small dow pin placed inside the hole hard against the barrel with 2 mm clearance around the dow.
3. It appeared to be silver solder which filled the hole down to the barrel encasing the dow and going into the threads.
4. brake ground flat where silver solder was added.

I have sit and thought about this and I know how to do this with limited damage from heat.

brb with the details

Drill a 3/16 ~ 1/4" hole in the suppressor preferably on the flat where the wrench would go for removal of the Suppressor.
Tap the hole you drilled on the Suppressor with the selected size of Cone Point Fine Thread Socket Head Set Screw you have chosen to use.
Thread the Suppressor on the barrel
Place red loc-tite on Cone Point Fine Thread Socket Head Set Screw
Thread the Cone Point Fine Thread Socket Head Set Screw tight into the barrel thus forcing the point into the threads, allow the 30 minute set-up time for the loc-tite.
Use Solder to seal up the hole and grind smooth, thus eliminating the heat to placed on the Barrel and Suppressor by 75%

Thanks Neil! I the stores here do not carry the cone point screw, I'll look on ebay or another website.

Thanks,

James
