Hello, Does anyone have experience with these scopes? Any advice would be really appreciated. Robert

Burris 1 x 4 X 24 Iluminated German 3P#4 LRS Matte Euro Diamond

Leupold VX III Iluminated 1.5 x 5 x 25 German

Trijicon Accupoint 1.25 x 4 x 24 Iluminated TR21-3 German #4 Amber Dot

One of my concerns is the iluminator brightness levels of each scope. Again, thanks for any help.
Robert

I do not have the illuminated Leupold, but I do I have three of the Vari X III and they are the cats meow. Excellent glass, crustal clear image, great scope and well worth the money.

I own several Leupold scopes as well and I think there are a great scope. None of mine are illuminated due to the fact they are mounted on bolt action hunting rifles but they have never, never failed me under some extreme circumstances.
Some scopes that offer lighted reticles go a little too far with the levels of brightness in my opinion. When you turn them up to a bright level some tend to bleed the red or green color thruout the entire sight picture. Not good for shooting after dark.
I did pretty good on a night shoot with a standard scope under moonlight. I actually shot a better 300 yd group at night then during the day. Probably because I took the extra time and paid much more attention to detalis.
What type of gun are using this style of scope on and what is it's intended purpose?
All of the scopes you mention are a good scope.

I forgot to mention the rifle is a flat top AR-15. I would like to aquire targets up close as quick as possible and be able to see longer distance targets a little better. Thanks for the responses. Robert

I agree

Since we know now it is for the AR15, I would also recommend the ACOG for what you are wanting with the fast target acquisition and be able to see longer distances.

I have the Leupold VXIII 1.5-5x25 German, with the illuminated reticle. It is extremely clear and can withstand a beating, I have it mounted on a .375 Ruger. The illumination is adjustable, so I think you could find the level you want.
