I recently bought a NIB Surefire M910A light in tan for my DPMS project I am working on. I couldnt get it to work for crap. I replaced the installed batteries with the 3 in the package, no good. Bought a couple dozen more new with no luck. I have a tan G2 that I tried the batteries in and it worked great. I even switch out the light bulb with another one no luck. 20 minutes on the phone with Surefire CS and no luck.

To make a long story short....They said to send it back and they would fix it. According to my Delivery conformation # they got it on wednesday of last week. How long can I expect it to be gone? Im wanting to take picts of the whole set up bad to show it off.

Thanks

I have a small spot over by the Dodge Dealer ship that I can shoot out to 250 yards, other than that Im grounded. I need to find a spot that I can shoot 1k plus really.gif

Its a sweet set up:

DPMS 16" M4 heavy barrel with forward rail. My black/FDE combo:
FDE Magpul MOE stock
FDE Magpul MOE grip
FDE Magpul rail covers (snap kind)
FDE Surefire M910A

FDE eotech when I can afford it.

Yeah I think I know where you go then. I have 32 acers. I might be able to get a clear shot at around 500 but I've never measured it out.

Just got off the phone with there CS rep. I asked about possibly when I could expect my light back. He told me that since they havent received it yet he couldnt tell me. I informed him that I have the tracking # and the signature conformation # that a person (name withheld) signed for it on Wednesday. After about 20 minutes of being put on and off hold, he said that he found it and its been sent to the warranty department for repair.

Now he tells me it could be 3-4 weeks!!! You gotta be fuzzing kidding me. I bought this thing NIB still sealed in the packaging. My dealer wont take it back (last time I deal with him) and now its gonna be a month from the time I bought it before I can mount it on my rifle.

This is ridiculous. I have never delt with Surefire this way. All of there products have never failed me. I know that it probably a 1 in a millon that the light would be defective from the factory, but why the wait?

This will be the last time I buy a Surefire product. CS goes along way with me and im kinda pissed. Why not just send me another brand new light?

That's exactly the wrong way to treat a customer with a warranty issue. Grab another off the shelf, toss it in a box, and be done with it. If the other can be repaired, great, give it to an employee or something, but take the loss. Leatherman (as much as I hate the president and his politics) knows customer service. You give them a broken tool, they reach around behind the counter, and hand you a brand new one.

I can contest to that. I lost my old leathermen due to a broken rivet on the leather case when it was on my belt. I sent the case back to inform them of a weak point in the case not expecting anything since it was lost. With in a week they sent me a brand new top of the line letherman. Then I broke the blade on my wave and they sent me back a new one of those also.

Surefire has the best lights I have ever tried. My family all got surefire G2 flashlights. I have only ever had one complaint. I bought a spare bulb and battery holder. When I got it home the bulbs I had wouldn't fit. Turns out the package was marked wrong. They sent me a new one free of charge that day and told me to keep the other one. I gave it to a friend who had that sized bulb. I hate to hear you are having problems. I am very surprised they didn't get on it sooner or take care of it in a better way. Hope it works out for you soon.

Im suprised too. Last year I had a the defender bulb to out after just 3 weeks of use. I called, they ship two new bulbs and a set of batteries for my trouble. No questions asked that time. Just about as good a Leupold or Dillon.

What made me think it wasnt going to be a pleasnt one this time was right off the bat, they told me I had to ship it on my dime. Not a big deal, but I have always boughten the best of everything, Leupold Dillon etc for the customer service. Surefire was right up there until now. Maybe its just a one time bad deal and the guy I talked to was having a bad day, but I guess......

Any updates, I have not had a single problem with them and was just curious.
