Wrote my first citation last night.

Wrote a guy for speeding. 37 in a 25 zone (residential, lots of hills and curves to the road).

The stop went smoothly and my FTO said I did pretty well. :smile:

congrats on the first one! I can't imagine exactly what must be involved in breaking the ice on a career such as yours. I have seen only a few "nervous" cops. I am sure there is some trepidation for first timers. I stated in another thread that I would not want your job even for ten times the pay. I know there are crazy idiots out there and every stop comes with some risk.

The guy had a radar detector, and didn't even remotely argue with me on the stop. In fact, he had the "I'm totally busted" look on his face.
