You know the first case I heard of like this was Houston in the early 1980s when a HIV prisoner was charged and convicted for trying to spit in Jailers eyes.
I wouldn't have blamed them if they shot the guy in self defense.
Hey, but then if I had my way, I'd be convicting every diagnosed HIV patient that knowingly had sex with someone without telling they they are HIV positive.
Here's just two stories of people I have personally known.
John was a sales guy who traveled a lot. One night at a hotel bar a woman comes on to him strong. They end up in his hotel room. The next morning he woke up to find a note, "Welcome to HIV." He died in the mid-90s. Though touted as a Urban legend by the left, this is actually more common than people think as many with HIV are resentful and want revenge.
My friend Mark watched slowly as his neighborhood in Memphis went to hell as drug pushers took over. He meets a young girl and falls in love with her. She has a drug problem and he was trying to get her off the streets. He comes home one day and she's leaving him to go with a crack dealer. Trying to talk her out of it, the drug dealer picks a fight and Mark kicks his butt. The girl now upset tells him, she has HIV and has had just call the health department and see. She did too. Luckily for Mark he did test negative.
Just as a sidebar, you know what really sucks about this last story? The only one who went to jail in that story was Mark. Heartbroken, he took to the bottle and got nailed for a couple DUIs and pulled six months. The girl after being pimped for a year moved to FL and is starting over doing drugs and whoring there. Yes, Mark still cares and keeps tabs on her. The Dealer, well he's still dealing and pimping.
One thing I've learned, you go into that world too much, you want to put them all in some sanatorium to protect the public. The image of some gentle gay person who has a spouse slowly dieing pushed by the media simply isn't the way it is.
