Interesting lure.

It only works on redneck catfish, though. I always wondered if a Wallstreet Journal or a cell phone would work on those yuppie catfish.

I caught a blue at 67lbs and to be honest the 5~20 pounders fought harder than the big one.

That is a nice shovel head SBF, what kind of reel and stuff was he using?

The day I caught the 67lb blue I was using live gold fish for bait, abu 6600 reel with 60lb Berkly ultra-max braided line and helped another guy net a 20 pounder he caught on a Zebco 33, 12 lb monofilament line now that was a heck of a fight. laugh.gif

Congrats on catching the swimming log. That's how those big ones feel to me anyway. wink.gif

Definitely worth a brag for despite how those that don't fish think, catching a cat that large in the wild is a pretty rare thing. I sometimes think those big ones just like laying in eddies and let the crap just fall in their mouths. smile.gif
