I recently ordered and received a pair of CMP issued Springfield “Service Grade” M1 Garands on the 19th of Sept. from the time I submitted my application to the time the FedEx truck was on the doorstep was a total of (34) days. The wood crate with four cans of 192 count Greek ball ammo was just a few days behind the rifles arrival.

Here are a couple of pic’s 32.gif

both are of the 1955 - 1957 era
