Many gun owners such as those with AR15s have a huge collection of AR15 magazines. Some reaching into the hundreds
I do have around 30 AR magazines, which has been way more than I needed as I have only needed to use less than a few at any given time. I didn't have any mags break on me, so I could have done just fine if I had just had only a few magazines. I believe that I have this many because I was caught in the game of buy as much magazines I can get or just bought them because they were on sale.

I can see having a couple or three dozen mags to have enough to carry in an emergency or have in case of a ban and have enough in case one or two go bad.

But those of you gun owers who have 100s of mags laying around, is it because you expect to go through all those magazines in your lifetime? Did you buy them thinking you can make a profit selling them in the future? Are you that abusive to your magazines, throwing them around, stepping on them, running them over with your car that they don't last long enough for you?

With the 30 AR15 mags I have now. I feel I have more than enough to last me the rest of my life and need to carry on me in an any emergency or have enough if I could never buy another AR15 magazine again because of a ban or any other reason.

I've purposely opened brand new in wrapper magazines and used them even though I had plenty of fully functional used magazines just because I thought I paid money for this mag, I might as well use it, even though I don't have to.

In addition, how many of you have a bunch of NIW pre-ban magazines that you paid top dollar for before the ban was lifted that have been sitting in your closet and today you can get all the brand new mags you want for around $13 and you now get a sour feeling that you spent all that money for nothing?

I have 28 AR mags. I have at least 4 mags for every pistol, rifle or .22 that takes a magazine.

Mag whore. anim_nana.gif

And speaking of Mags. Those mags I got through that last DPMS sale seem to be the best mags I have ever bought. They seem to lock in easier. All 10 I bought feed flawlessly. Can't ask for more than that.

Q Isn't it kind of disingenuous for the President to say that I'm for the assault weapons ban, but then not spend a nickel of his political capital to fight for it?
McClellan: I disagree. His position has always been well-known, and it's been clear going back to his first campaign for President.
Q That he was for the ban?
McClellan: For a reauthorization of the current ban.

Moderates...just say no.

I see nothing wrong with collecting mags. Some day you might agree with me. Also you might be saying I wish I bought more. bigsmile.gif

I own mags for guns I don't even own. Just because I can. anim_nana.gif

I have about 15 AR mags and 5 AK mags.

I have a little bit over 100 AR mags, around 20 AK mags. I don't have anywhere near that many pistol mags... yet.

TS

ETA: Mine aren't for sale, they're for use. Mags fail, break, etc... I should have plenty to last for a while if a ban hits.
